Ali Arman has served as Director of Coaching since August 2015. Prior to being named Director of Coaching, he was the club's technical Director for the U9-12 age groups, a role in which he served since 2013. He has also coached soccer at Riverdale High School since 1998, where his teams there have won seven district championships, five region championships and have made seven state tournament appearances.
Arman previously served as Director of Coaching for Stones River Futbol Club from 2010 to 2013. He has also served as an instructor for Tennessee Soccer and a coach in the state's ODP program.
Arman is a United Soccer Coaches staff coach. He is tasked with organizing and instructing coaches education courses for Tennessee.
Coach Arman holds a United Soccer Coaches Premier Diploma, Director of Coaching Diploma and Advanced National Goalkeeping Diploma. He also holds a US Youth Soccer National Youth License and USSF B Licence. Coach Arman is married to Jill Arman, and they have three children: Josh, Khalil, and Noah.
Assistant Director of Coaching Alan Oates is a lifelong soccer player and coach. He played for the Nashville Metros, for the Chattanooga Express and for the Krung Thai Bank in Bangkok, Thailand. Oates previously served MSC as Technical Director for two years, from August 2013 to July 2015.
Under Oates’ leadership, teams have earned four state championships, one President’s Cup regional championship and national championship, as well as region Premier League finalists and D1 regional quarterfinalists.
Oates has a United Coaches Advanced National Diploma, Director of Coaching Diploma and GK Level 1 Diploma.
Erich Delfs returned to MSC in 2017, and currently serves as Technical Director for the older Academy (9v9) teams. He has served as team coach for multiple ages, as well as stints as MSC's GK Coach and SAQ trainer.
Prior to returning, Delfs served as a Coaching Director at Trebol Soccer Club.
Before moving to Murfreesboro for his first stint, Delfs served as Director of Coaching for the Holston Valley Futbol Club (HVFC) where he helped establish the newly formed club in the Northeast Tennessee region. Due to the implementation of a new philosophy and curriculum across all age groups, Delfs helped elevate the level of play and opened the door for several of the club's former players to earn collegiate roster spots. While at HVFV, Delfs guided a group of 95 Boys to the Region II President's Cup title, going on to finish in the top three in the national tournament.
Before that, Delfs developed soccer talent in the northern Virginia region, many of whom went on to garner national recognition.
He currently also coaches two of our 2006 teams and manages the club's community afer-school efforts.
Delfs holds the USSF National C License, United Coaches Advanced National Diploma as well as a United Coaches GK Level 1 Diploma.
Fifi Dadson is an MSC icon; so many local players and families have worked with him over his 15-year coaching career.
He hails from Ghana, grew up in Papua New Guinea, and beyond playing club soccer at MTSU, is a wicked tennis player.
Fifi serves as our younger academy teams (7v7) technical director, and is also the head coach for our U11 Boys and U11 Girls head coach. He has earned his United Soccer Coaches Advanced National Diploma.
Fifi is happily married to Pamela, and they have 6 kids, three who are part of our program. When he is free, he still plays for the Local Latino American League here in town.
Matt Manning is in his eleventh year with MSC, having coached various age groups with the club, ranging from U8 to U18. In 2014, Manning's 97 Boys Strikers team won a State Championship.
Manning was also the head soccer coach for Oakland High School in 2016, where he was the District 7 Coach of the Year while leading the Oakland Patriots to their first Spring Fling appearance since 1999.
Manning currently holds his USC Advanced National Diploma as well as his USSF D license, and works as a mentor to several coaches in our program. He and his family support and volunteer in MSC's TOPSoccer program.
Coach Manning is married to Kaylyn, and has two daughters, Ashton and Lyla, who both play for the club.
Tre Arhagba joined Murfreesboro Soccer Club in 2013 as a staff coach, having worked as goalkeeper coach and junior varsity assistant coach at Chapel Hill High School, and as head varsity coach at McDougle Middle School, Cresset Academy and Charlotte Prep School.
Arhagba also worked as staff coach and club goalkeeper trainer at Durham/Chapel Hill Strikers, technical adviser for Euclid Youth Soccer and pro coach at Mentor Soccer Club, as well as a staff coach for Charlotte Soccer Academy. He's also worked as a soccer camp director and ODP evaluator, and as keeper trainer for UNC Chapel Hill Women's' Club Team.
In his current role, he oversees the club's specialist goalkeeping curriculum, while coordinating with staff goalkeeper trainers and team coaches to ensure the club goalkeepers are continually developed. Arhagba has his USSF A License, USSF National Youth License, United Coaches Director of Coaching and Goalkeeping Level II Diplomas, FIFA Medicine Diploma, English FA Psychology Level 1 Diploma, English FA Talent ID Diploma and English FA Youth GK Training Master Class.
