Coaches Corner

 Roster:

The roster you will be receiving is comprised of the players who are
currently registered to your team. The number of players on your team is
capped to best allow each player equal playing time. Please call each
player/parent to introduce yourself as the coach, welcome them to your
roster, and give them information on the upcoming season. We suggest you
plan a team meeting to hand out schedules and fill out a contact list. This meeting can be held before or after the first practice.

Equipment:

We will provide you, as long as supplies last, with some basic equipment to get you started which includes
cones and pennies.

Game Management:

Your games will be scheduled for Saturdays along with a few week days. If a game is cancelled there will be a revised schedule posted on the web site. Please keep in mind that not all rain outs will be rescheduled. Fields and referees for make-up
games can only be confirmed and scheduled by MSC.

On game days it is suggested that your team arrive 30 mins earlier than when
the game starts to warm up. During games it is important that you create a
fun and educational environment for your players to excel on their own. It
is crucial not to dwell on young players mistakes, but rather praise them
for their accomplishments. Along with your fellow coaches it is important to
encourage your parents to support and cheer on the players, but not
"direct". Lastly, have fun yourself!
